defend: your climate change reputation

The scenario

Students take leadership roles in UK organisations at the forefront of the climate change debate. They must forge new partnerships, call out ‘greenwashing’ from competitors, and defend against criticism in the media to make the case for why their organisation is acting in the best interests of Britain.

What it involves

  • Horizon scanning

  • Developing a communications plan

  • Deciding team roles using psychometric tests

  • Creating a social media campaign

  • Recording ‘vox pop’ media interviews

  • Creating a recruitment strategy

  • Interviewing job candidates

  • Negotiating a partnership deal

  • Briefing your boss and assimilating difficult feedback

  • Participating in a televised debate

Who it’s for

Master’s students, particularly those doing MBAs or who are interested in communications and/or organisational leadership roles. You’ll need a minimum of 12 students to participate.

What students say about it

‘The adaptive design of this 3-day workshop was a genuine example of “learning by doing,” which enabled me to develop my communication and problem-solving skills. The experience was brilliant, and the authentic wisdom of the workshop will stay with me forever.’ Mehdi, University of Southampton Business School, MBA programme

Why I should consider it for my students

If you want to give your students the chance to practise their communication and creative-thinking skills in the context of a multi-disciplinary strategic project, this is the simulation to choose.

What it costs

The full simulation runs for three days (6 hours per day). It costs £10,000 + VAT for us to run it in-person, on your campus. We can also adapt the simulation to fit with your schedule, creating either a one- or two-day programme. We price these bespoke sessions after discussing with you what you need.
